This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you clearly and transparently about how we collect, use, protect, and share your information when you use our Maia wristband, our mobile application, and our website (collectively, our "Services").
Our Services are designed to help you understand your fertility cycle. This involves the collection and analysis of very personal health data. We take this responsibility very seriously.

1. Who is the data controller?

The company MaiaWoman, located in France, is the controller of your personal data collected through the MaiaWoman Services.

2. What data do we collect?

We collect different types of data to provide and improve our Services:

  • Identity and Contact Data: First name, last name, email address, shipping address, password.
  • Transaction Data: Information related to your subscription and payments (processed securely by our payment providers).
  • Health and Wellness Data (Sensitive Data):
  • Physiological data collected by the wristband: Basal body temperature, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and other biomarkers related to sleep and activity.
  • Information you enter in the app: Dates of your menstrual cycles, information about sexual intercourse, symptoms, mood, personal notes, and any other health indicators you choose to track.
  • Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, unique device identifier, connection and app usage data.

3. How and why do we use your data?

We use your data based on specific legal grounds and for clear purposes:

  • To provide our Services (Performance of a contract): To analyze your physiological data to calculate your daily fertility status and predict your fertile windows; to personalize your in-app experience; to manage your account and subscription; to send you transactional communications.
  • For research and development (With your explicit consent): With your explicit and separate consent, we may use your anonymized or pseudonymized data to improve our algorithms, conduct scientific studies on women's health, and contribute to research. Your data will never be used for research purposes without your consent.
  • To improve our Services and ensure their security (Legitimate interest): To analyze usage data to understand how our Services are used and identify improvements; to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • To comply with our legal obligations: To meet regulatory requirements, especially as a certified CE and FDA Medical Device.

4. How do we share your data?

Your privacy is paramount. We never sell, rent, or share your personal health information for advertising purposes. We may share your data only in the following cases:

8. What happens when you no longer use MaiaWoman?

If you no longer need the service, you can cancel your subscription. We encourage you to give your wristband to a friend or someone who needs it. Before doing so, you can perform a factory reset from the app. This action will completely and securely erase all your personal data and unlink the wristband from your account, ensuring the new user can never access your information.
If you are pregnant, we suggest you keep using the service to track your pregnancy!

We may amend this policy from time to time. In case of a major change, we will inform you via the app or by email.
